A Teenager is the mother of the abandoned baby

A newborn baby was found on top of a garbage bag in an alley.

The mother has come forward now. The Chicago Police has confirmed that the mother of the newborn abandoned baby is a 16-year old girl.

The newborn baby is a boy and was discovered by a mother and a daughter on Tuesday night. The baby was found in Chicago’s Hermosa neighborhood.

He was found on top of a garbage bag. He was present inside a shopping bag with his umbilical cord still attached to him.

There was also bleeding as the cord was not clamped.

The mother and daughter had brought the baby to a fire station.

The fire department spokesperson said that the condition of the baby was not good at the time. He had no pulse and was blue in color with no response as well.

The firefighters had shocked the baby to bring him to life. They then transported him to a hospital.

He was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital. He is now in stable condition after being in critical one.

Chicago Police Spokesperson has also commented on the situation. He had tweeted and said that a lady had come forward claiming to be the mother of the newborn.

The lady had come forward on Wednesday night and the detectives have confirmed that she is the mother of the baby.

She, herself is only 16-years old. Police Spokesperson, Anthony Guglielmi also said that they will be investigating the mother and the father of the newborn baby.

The family of 19-year-old Marlen Ochoa-Uriostegui have also come forward after the discovery of a newborn.

They have requested the police to carry out a DNA test on the baby as they say that Marlen was nine months pregnant when she went missing.

They are adamant that there is a connection between their daughter and the newborn baby.

The police are investigating the matter and have indicated of charges been filed.
