Assistant alleges Dunaway referred to him as ‘Little homosexual boy’

Faye Dunaway, an Oscar-winning actress, has been charged with discrimination. An assistant accused her of saying him as “a homosexual boy”. Michael Rocha worked for her as an assistant from April 5 until June 12. Dunaway was starring in the play Tea at Five at that time. She was playing the role of Katherine Hepburn in that Broadway play.

Mr. Rocha alleged her that she mocked him and berated him for his sexuality. He claimed in the court document that she used his sexual orientation as a gay man to demean and humiliate him at work. Mr. Rocha received the payment of $1500 a week for his services. He said that he reported her actions to the general manager and general counsel. Mr. Rocha said that he gave the tape of offensive comments made by her.

He claimed in the court document that she fired him a fortnight later. The lawyer of Dunaway did not make any comment over these allegations on his client. “Dunaway’s reputation for being difficult and temperamental is long-established”, Deadline Hollywood said. She was fired from the play on July 24. The producers of the play, Ben Feldman and Scott Beck, made the decision of cutting their relationship with Dunaway.

The producers are developing a plan to find a new actress to play the role of Katherine Hepburn in the play Tea at Five. The New York Times reported that the behavior of Dunaway was terrifying. She threw things on the members who were trying to fit her with a wig, according to the report. The paper reported that the crew members were fearful for their safety.

The allegations have cost her a lot as she is out of the play now. She was often late for rehearsals and her behavior was unacceptable. She threw a salad on the floor at one point. She was fired from the play after this incident, the New York Times post revealed. The allegations of discrimination at work have been filed against her and she will face them in the court. She is out of the play Tea at Five.
