Aurora’s Blues on the Fox will headline with Buddy Guy and Kenny Wayne Shepherd

Chicago Blues legend Buddy Guy will make headlines as he will be performing at the 24th Annual Blues on the Fox Festival, Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20 at Thomas J. Weisner RiverEdge Park in downtown Aurora. Kenny Wayne Shepherd will be the Friday evening’s headlines. The opening will be of Southern Avenue.

The summer blues festival will kick off on the banks of the scenic Fox River. Gates open at 6 p.m. Southern Avenue starts at 7 p.m. Buddy Guy will be Saturday’s acting act. He will be joined by Billy Branch, Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers and Melody Angel will continue to make for a full day of live blues music.

The gates will be opening at 2 p.m. while Melody Angel opens Saturday’s bill at 3 p.m. You can get tickets online at RiverEdgeAurora.com. Phone and in-person sales start Monday, February 24, at 10 a.m. Get the tickets early as tickets can be bought at a discount rate of $15 per day, through May 31.

Tickets are $25 per day starting June 1 and on-site. RiverEdge Park, 360 N. Broadway St., in Aurora, is an excellent place to conduct the outdoor concert. The concert will be full of live music, delicious food, cool beverages and a great time, all overlooking downtown Aurora and the beautiful Fox River. You can go to museums and restaurants that are just a short walk from the concert.
