Championship banner will be unveiled by Chicago Steel

Chicago Steel will continue its 20th season with the first home matchup of the 2019-20 campaign. Before the Steel face off against the Green Bay Gamblers in the first of eight regular-season matchups between the Eastern Conference rivals, they will unveil the 2019 Eastern Conference championship banner.

To celebrate their successful season, the Steel will wear 20th Season alternate jerseys for the first time on Saturday as well as several other times during the regular season. The Steel fans will have an amazing opportunity to meet the players and receive autographs from them.

The Steel have started the regular season with a victory over Sioux City Musketeers by a 3-2 final and then beating Sioux Falls Stampede 4-2 in a 2019 Clark Cup rematch. Gunnarwolfe Fontaine was in amazing form on Saturday as he scored two goals while Sean Farrell played an important role in the team’s victory on Saturday as he had two goals and 1 assist to his name.

The Steel had the upper hand last season on the Gamblers with a 4-2-0-0 record. Chicago forward Matty De St. Phalle will be looking forward to Saturday as he has reached the scoresheet in three consecutive appearances against the Gamblers having two goals and two assists.

The University of Denver commit McKade Webster will lead the Green Bay Gamblers as he had tallied 30 points (11G, 19A) in 59 games during the 2017-18 season with Green Bay. He had an awful last season as he had just six appearances to his name due to a wrist injury. The Gamblers have experience in the form of Xan Gurney who has been part of two Clark Cup champions.
