Police, firefighters and paramedics from Lincolnshire responded about 12:09 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 to a report of a six-vehicle crash with injuries at Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Parkway in Lincolnshire. The crash was actually located on Milwaukee Avenue north of Deerfield Parkway. Two Lincolnshire-Riverwoods ambulances were initially due to the report of the multi-vehicle crash.
Battalion 51 on arrival reported four vehicles involved with heavy damage and possibly two rollovers. At 12:16 p.m. an additional two ambulances for a total of four ambulances were requested for a crash that was discovered to have involved eight vehicles. Paramedics from Long Grove Fire Protection District and Wheeling Fire Department were assigned.
All vehicles were stabilized and all patients were out of the vehicles by 12:20 p.m. except for one patient who was still in a vehicle and being helped by firefighter because of a stuck door.
A medical emergency also was also reported at the Lincolnshire Police Department about 12:20 p.m. Paramedics from Buffalo Grove and Deerfield were assigned to the medical emergency at the police department.
Two additional ambulances were requested at the crash scene by 12:26 p.m. Paramedics from Prospect Heights Fire Protection District and Countryside Fire Protection District were assigned.
