Free Jacks Host Chicago Hounds in 2025 MLR Eastern Conference Final Rematch

Two of Major League Rugby’s top contenders are set for a high-stakes showdown this Saturday
in the 2025 Eastern Conference Final. The New England Free Jacks ranked first in the
conference, will welcome the second-seeded Chicago Hounds to Veteran’s Memorial
Stadium in a rematch of last year’s conference final.

The Free Jacks have maintained a dominant home record throughout the 2025 season, suffering
just one loss on their home turf — a Week 15 defeat to Old Glory DC.

Both teams enter the matchup with elite defensive credentials. New England leads the league in
tries and points conceded, while Chicago closely trails as second-best in both categories,
setting the stage for a potentially low-scoring, physical contest.

This highly anticipated matchup not only revives a budding playoff rivalry but also promises to
determine which defensive powerhouse will represent the East in the 2025 MLR Championship
Final.
