Jussie Smollett became victim of suspected hate crime in Chicago

Jussie Smollett is the famous star of US TV Drama Empire. He has been attacked by two men who threw some chemical substance on him. The attackers also punched him and the attack is suspected as a homophobic or racist attack. Police said that the attacker wrapped a rope around his neck before they fled away from the crime scene.

Police has started the investigation by taking this incident as a hate crime. Smollett has been discharged from the hospital as his condition is better now. This unfortunate crime scene occurred on Tuesday at East Lower Wall Street, Chicago. Police also reported that the attackers approached him by yelling hate slurs out. The investigation team has appealed for sharing any kind of proof or video related to the incident. Smollett has posted earlier on the Instagram that he had been tired of seven hours flight to reach Chicago although the actual flight time is two hours.
