Lori Lightfoot and her wife had a dinner at Oprah Winfrey’s house

Lori Lightfoot, Mayor of Chicago, met with police officials and political fundraisers in California during her visit last week. She attended a diner at Oprah Winfrey’s house as well. Winfrey posted a photo on Instagram in which Lightfoot and her wife, Amy Eshleman, can be seen standing with Winfrey.

Winfrey wrote in her post, “Look who came for dinner, Mayor of Chicago and her wife Amy. Our first meeting”. Lightfoot told the reporters about her dinner at Winfrey’s place during her three-day trip to California. Lightfoot said, “Winfrey was very generous and kind in inviting me and my wife to dine at her place. She is a great person and we had a fine dinner at Thursday”.

Lightfoot added, “I feel quite grateful to haver an opportunity to meet such a great person”. Lightfoot also visited Washington before taking her office where she met with great government and political officials. She also met with the daughter of president Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump. Winfrey left Chicago in 2011 after doing 25 seasons of an iconic show for the West Coast.

Lightfoot did not share much details about her discussion with Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey has her own production company which is located in West Hollywood, California. The name of her company is Oprah Winfrey Network. Lightfoot seemed quite amazing for having a dinner with Winfrey. Lightfoot also visited the political fundraising events in Washington during her three-day trip last week.

Lightfoot also said, “I really loved this city”. She was quite satisfied with her trip to California during her interview with the reporters. She did not tell about the discussion with Winfrey. Winfrey also spent some time in Chicago where she worked with the West Coast. She was also quite happy to meet with Lightfoot for the first time with her wife. She shared her expressions in the Instagram post.
