Lurie Children’s receives CHIME’s Most Wired Digital Health Quality Award

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) conducts an annual survey under its Digital Health Most Wired program. The CHIME announced that the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital was the winner of the 2020 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired award.

The survey results revealed that Lurie Children’s applied core and advanced technologies into its clinical and business programs to provide effective healthcare services to the patients. The hospital significantly improved health and care in its communities, according to the CHIME. Russell P. Branzell, the president of the CHIME, said, “Digital technology has been a driver of innovation in healthcare for many years now, but never to the degree that we saw in 2020 with the pandemic.”

The Digital Health Most Wired program highlights the exemplary performance of healthcare organizations in terms of digital practices. Lisa Dykstra, the senior vice president of Lurie Children’s, said, “We are honored to receive the CHIME’s Most Wired Digital Health, Certified Level 8, Quality Award.” Dykstra added that the hospital was committed to ensuring the digital transformation of its operation for the betterment of patient care.

Lurie Children’s will make further investments in the field of technology to improve its healthcare services. Dykstra appreciated the efforts of applications and technology staff in terms of bringing digital practices into the organization. The collaborative efforts of expert business and clinical leaders, and technology staff helped Lurie Children’s to achieve this recognition.

It is the third year when the CHIME conducted its survey with some improvements in each successive year. It is also working on the internationalization of this program to provide an overview of the digital healthcare services at the global level.
