A new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to People’s Republic of China may become Sergiy Korsunsky. This information was revealed by a few sources in the Ukrainian diplomatic circles.
Sergiy Korsunsky is 57 years old. At the moment, he works as a Director of Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine. Prior to this, he participated in several diplomatic missions. From 2008 to 2016, he was an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey.
In the early 2000s, the diplomat’s activities were closely linked to the United States. From 2000 to 2006, Korsunsky was a Counsellor, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States and charge d’affaires of Ukraine in the United States.
During this time, the diplomat published several monographs related to the United States: “Technology Transfer in the United States”, “Science and Technology as a Key Point in the Development of the US Economy,” “US Economic Policy at the Present Stage,” and “US Government Private Sector Support Programs for the development of small high-tech business.”
The previous Ambassador of Ukraine to China was Oleh Dyomin. He headed the diplomatic mission from July 2013 to May 2019. The previous President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko dismissed the diplomat from his post on May 19, 2019.
