The mayor of Gdansk was stabbed at a charity event (Video)

Pawel Adamowicz, 53, the mayor of Polish City of Gdansk was stabbed in a charity event on stage. The stabber who was 27 years old was captured by the authorities and he give the reason that wrongful imprisonment made him do this cruel act.

The mayor was severely injured as doctors needed 41 units of blood. Doctors say that he is not breathing naturally.

The incident occurred at the final moments of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity event. The culprit had used the media badges to get so close to the stage.

The President Andrzej Duda tweeted about the health of the mayor and called for people to pray for the injured.

Mr. Adamowicz was the city’s mayor for more than 20 years and was a family man.

People lined up to show their support for him and there was condemnation of this act by the high officials.
