Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Rush University System for Health has announced a new advance pediatric care affiliation. The affiliation will improve access to high-quality and complex pediatric care. The affiliation will also make it easier for all to access the best treatment for their children.
Both Ann &Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Rush University System for Health have been recognized for quality, safety and excellence in pediatrics. The affiliation is an advance of pediatric care across Chicago. Tom Shanley, MD, President and CEO of Lurie Children’s said, “Together, our two institutions will increase access to high-quality and complex pediatric care.”
Shanley added, “We will also amplify the pursuit of research, education and advocacy to advance pediatric academic medicine.” Ranga Krishnan, CEO of the Rush System said the affiliation will help the patients get better treatment.
Krishnan said, “We are committed to continuing to pursue innovative, groundbreaking research; providing the best education to the next generation of pediatric providers; and advocating for our patients and communities around larger social determinants of health and equity issues.” Rush and Lurie Children’s will jointly manage the initiative effective February 1, 2021.
