Chicago Fire FC II Earns MLS NEXT Pro Honors Again

Chicago Fire FC II has been named the MLS NEXT Pro Team of Matchweek 16, following
strong performances that extended its unbeaten streak to a club-record eight games.

The team opened the week with a 3-1 victory over Inter Miami CF II at Chase Stadium in
Florida. Midfielder Trip Fleming netted twice in the second half, including the game-winner in
the 77th minute. Winger Claudio Cassano recorded three assists, while forward Jason Shokalook
scored early, marking his fourth goal of the season.

Back at SeatGeek Stadium in Illinois, Chicago Fire II drew 1-1 with Crown Legacy FC.
Midfielder Dylan Borso scored for the home side and led off a successful post-match shootout.
Cassano, Fleming, Shokalook, and Diego Konincks also converted, securing an additional point.
This marks the third time this season the team has earned Team of the Matchweek recognition.
The previous honor came in Matchweek 12 after a 5-0 shutout against Columbus Crew 2.

Next up, Chicago Fire FC II heads to Chattanooga for a matchup against Chattanooga FC on
Saturday, July 5 at 6:00 p.m. CT. The game will stream globally on MLS Season Pass via Apple
TV.
