Delta plane makes emergency landing at LAX as girl died of cardiac arrest on board

When the flight landed at Los Angeles International Airport, a 10-year-old girl was pronounced dead on Thursday night. The flight number 2423 of Delta Airlines was heading towards Seattle when it returned back to LAX due to a medical emergency.

Ian Gregor, the spokesperson of FAA, said that a passenger faced a severe medical issue on board. A 10-year-old girl suffered from cardiac arrest on the plane, according to the KTLA. Los Angeles Fire Department released a statement about the incident. The department said, “LAFD paramedics responded to medical aid for a minor female child and furiously worked to save her life.”

The department said that all efforts went in vain as the child was beyond medical help. They could not save the life of the young girl. The death of the young girl is being investigated by the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, there was no foul play involved in the death of the child. Mike Lopez, the office of the LAPD, said that they were not further investigating the case.

The Delta Airlines officials confirmed the incident and said that they were working on the accommodation of other passengers on board. The flight made an emergency landing due to the severe medical condition of a passenger on board. The young girl lost her life on the plane due to cardiac arrest.

The LA Coroner’s office, LAPD, and LAFD confirmed the death of the young girl. The coroner’s office is currently investigating the death. The LAPD has cleared the incident as natural death and they are not further investigating the death. Delta Airlines also confirmed the death of the passenger. The officials said that they would accommodate other passengers.
