Employment has failed to rise in Finland despite being the first European country to give the citizens free cash. However, it has a major benefit that it has improved the wellbeing of the people.
In this two-year experiment, some 2000 people were given €560 who were aged between 25 to 58 years under no conditions.
This experiment was done to see if the people were motivated to earn money or not.
Finland’s minister of health and social affairs said that the first year’s analysis of data shows that this experiment has minor result on the society.
The scheme’s chief researcher says otherwise and says that the people under this experiment were happy than the people who had not received this financial assistance.
The people who had received the money have said positive things about the experiment.
The country’s centre-right government initially wanted to expand this trial but changed last April.
Employment ratio has dropped to a record low.
