Greenville man sentenced 50 months in prison for making $50 profit from crimes

Aeron Michael Davis, a 28-year-old man, of Greenville, has been sentenced with fifty months in prison. He will repay each dollar in the form of a month in prison. The court also sentenced him with three years of supervised release.

He was facing charges of methamphetamine, commonly known as ‘ice’, distribution and helping the sale of a gun. He was proven guilty in the court on both charges. According to the court documents, Davis facilitated the sale of a .22 caliber pistol. The pistol was sold by Wade Garrett McWhorter with the facilitation of Davis on Feb. 21, 2017. Davis got a profit of $30 from that sale, according to the documents.

After six days of the pistol sale, Davis arranged a buyer of 5 grams methamphetamine for McWhorter. He got $20 profit from the sale of ice. McWhorter and Davis were charged in the same indictment. Davis pleaded guilty in the court over two counts in July while McWhorter pleaded guilty over six counts of charges faced by him in August. McWhorter was facing three counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and three counts of methamphetamine distribution.

The court will sentence McWhorter on Dec. 11, 2019. The investigation of the case was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Davis has been sentenced to fifty months in prison and three years of supervised release. He admitted his crimes in the court and pleaded guilty in July.

McWhorter was facing more counts of criminal charges as compared to Davis and he will be sentenced on December 11. He also admitted his crimes and pleaded guilty in the court in August.
