Officials announce the top US runners in 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon

In 1992, US women claimed the top two spots in this athletic competition and in 1994, three American women ended the race by claiming top 5 spots. In 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, top two of the ten fastest runners of the US history will participate.

Many other elite runners of America will be the part of marathon. The organizers of the marathon announced the US participants of the race on Thursday. Galen Rupp and Jordan Hasay, superstars of marathon, will be the part of race. Hasay is the second fastest women runner in the history of the United States of America. She is the fastest who would have ever run in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Hasay will look to break the record of the iconic runner, Deena Kastor, in this competition. Amy Crag, fifth fastest in American history, Emma Bates, Stephanie Bruce, Lindsay Flanagan, and Taylor Ward will also join Hasay in the race. Cragg talked to the media and said, “It is my US major and I would love to run this race every year. It is a major for the runners of the Midwest”. She added, “I belong to Kansas which is a neighbor of Chicago and running in Chicago is a great feeling for me as it is where my roots, family, and relative belong”.

Bates said, “I always wanted to run in the Chicago Marathon and this is the year where my wish will be accomplished”. She added, “I am eyeing to finish in the top five of 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon”. Austin said, “It is a great thing for me to run a marathon in a windy city as I have grown up watching the great runners running in Windy City”.

Austin added, “I have been training well and it will be a great race before moving on to Tokyo 2020. I am looking to win this race”. Carey Pinkowski, Executive Race Director of Chicago Marathon, said, “We are eagerly waiting to welcome the pool of elite American runners and we want to see them running fast in Chicago”.
