Oscar winning Composer dies at the age of 86

Michel Legrand dies at the age of 86 on 26 January in his Paris home. He was an Oscar winning composer with more than 200 screen credits to his name. He had composed a number of movie operas that included ‘The Umbrellas of Cherbourg’, ‘Young Girls of Rochefort’, ‘Summer 42’ and ‘Yentl’ to name a few.

No details of his death were given as the announcement was made on his website.

He had a very illustrious career and made a number of songs that mesmerized the people.

He had an up and down personal life. He married a number of times and ended up with divorce.  There is no information available yet of the number of his surviving children.
