Serious Crash with Fire and Entrapment on Elmhurst South of Golf Rd Mount Prospect

Police and firefighter/paramedics from Mount Prospect and Des Plaines responded about 7:06 p.m. Sunday January 5, 2020 to a report of a serious crash with fire and entrapment on Elmhurst Road south of Golf Road in Mount Prospect.

Possibly three people were injured and three ambulances were dispatched to the crash.

A white Chevrolet Impala and a silver Nissan Altima were involved in the crash. The Chevrolet Impala also became involved with significant fire in the engine compartment and passenger compartment.

Elmhurst Road is closed between Golf Road and Dulles Road for an extended crash investigation. Des Plaines police are managing the extended crash investigation.
