Skender reaches final height on supportive housing facility for Sarah’s Circle

Skender released a statement related to its progress on a new 36000-sq. ft. supportive housing facility for Sarah’s Circle. The company said that they had reached the final height on the building in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.

Sarah’s Circle is a non-profit organization committed to providing aid to women in need. It provides shelter to homeless women. According to Sarah’s Circle, the non-profit provides food, clothes, shelter, clinical services, and housing to the victims of domestic violence and trauma. It aims to provide a safe space for women in need.

According to Skender, the six-story precast and steel building includes a basement, 38 units for long-term housing, and 50 beds for emergency overnight stays. The nonpermanent residents of the building will be able to stay here in emergency situations as well. Skender said that the housing facility would also include a large food hall, walk-in commercial freezer, and hot room.

Perkins + Will is collaborating with Skender to provide the design services for the project. Moreover, Brinshore Development, the representative of the owner of the building, is also providing assistance to Skender for the successful completion of the project.

Sarah’s Circle is a renowned non-profit organization working on fulfilling the basic needs of homeless women. This facility will accommodate women in need after successful completion. Skender has made huge progress on the project, and it has now reached the final height.
