Arlington Heights Public Works Forestry Department Special Operations for Christmas Tree or Holiday Tree at North School Park. On Tuesday morning, November 3, 2020, a special project was assigned to Arlington Heights Public Works Forestry Department crews.
The project was assigned at a property at Euclid Avenue and Hickory Avenue in Arlington Heights. Neighbors described that a Christmas or Holiday Tree was removed from a yard. The tree was transported to North School Park at Evergreen Avenue and Eastman Street. It was installed at the traditional location at the North School Park fountain.
A crane had grabbed the tree at the top and was cut across the trunk just above the ground. The tree was transported to North School Park via a truck. Decorations were immediately placed on the tree on Tuesday. The Annual Tree Lighting is scheduled annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving. On October 28, 2020, Resurgence mitigation for the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic was activated for suburban Cook County.
A “Limit to lesser of 25 guests or 25 percent of overall room capacity both indoors and outdoors” is included per the current mitigation restrictions. As of Wednesday, November 4, 2020, the Arlington Heights Park District has last year’s schedule posted. They have not given any indications for future event’s forecasts.
