Slovakia conducts COVID-19 tests of 70 percent population in 2 days

The government of Slovakia, a central European country, grabbed a phenomenal honor after conducting the coronavirus tests of its 70 population in two days.

There are several plans in place in almost every country about conducting the COVID-19 tests of as many people as possible. However, there is no country in the world that has tested its whole population. China, the origin of COVID-19, has conducted the COVID-19 tests of 70-95% residents of several states. The coronavirus started spreading across the world in December 2019.

Some other European countries also conducted COVID-19 tests at a larger scale. They tested the whole residents of some cities, towns, and villages. However, there is no country that has tested the whole population. Some Asian countries also tested their populations on a larger scale. Slovakia will soon become the first country in the world that would have been tested its whole population.

According to Reuters, a news agency, the government of Slovakia announced on November 2 that they had completed the COVID-19 tests of almost 3.6 million residents on October 31 and November 1. 36395 out of 3.6 million people were tested positive for coronavirus. They have been quarantined on the special recommendations of the government. The prime minister of Slovakia said that they would not compel any resident to get tested for COVID-19. However, people should come forward voluntarily for it. The PM added that those who denied getting tested should get quarantined.

The Slovakian government conducted the COVID-19 tests of people ranging from 10-year-old to older ages. It confirmed on November 2 that the tests of 3.6 million people had been completed. Slovakia has a total population of 5.5 million. The government plans to conduct the tests of the remaining population by the end of the next week. The government will also provide a corona-free certificate to those who tested negative.
