Tedros Adhanom, the director-general of the WHO, said in a press briefing conducted in Geneva, “COVID-19 has been declared a Pandemic. I have not seen a virus spreading that quickly.”
The WHO posted on twitter, “WHO has been assessing this outbreak around the clock.” The organization said that it was concerned about the spread of the disease and its severity. The organization declared an international health emergency over COVID-19 in January. The International Health Emergency is a term used by the organization when a disease spreads suddenly, unexpectedly, and quickly across the world.
