World Health Organization declares coronavirus pandemic

World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the coronavirus a pandemic as it has spread in more than 100 countries of the world. According to the WHO, a disease is called pandemic when it spreads quickly all across the world. The Organization said that the coronavirus illness was spreading across the world quickly and leaving bad environmental impacts.

The WHO officials said that the purpose of declaring the coronavirus a pandemic was to encourage the authorities to take steps. They added that it did not mean we had surrendered. Tedros Adhanom, the director-general of the WHO, said in a press briefing conducted in Geneva, “COVID-19 has been declared a Pandemic. I have not seen a virus spreading that quickly.”

The WHO posted on twitter, “WHO has been assessing this outbreak around the clock.” The organization said that it was concerned about the spread of the disease and its severity. The organization declared an international health emergency over COVID-19 in January. The International Health Emergency is a term used by the organization when a disease spreads suddenly, unexpectedly, and quickly across the world.

The worst thing is that there is no authorized medicine that can be used to treat this disease. However, some patients recovered from it via the treatment of the symptoms. The best way to stay safe from the deadly coronavirus is to keep your hands clean. People are also advised to stay away from the patients, cover their face while coughing and sneezing with tissue or elbow. The origin of the COVID-19 is said to be Wuhan, a city of China.

According to recent reports, more than 117000 people have been infected with this virus so far globally. Moreover, 4251 coronavirus patients have lost their lives at the international level. According to the health sources, more than 65000 patients have recovered from this disease. In Italy and the US, a rise in the intensity of the disease is noticed. There is a complete lockdown situation in Italy and people are compelled to stay at their homes.
