All volunteer Silver Creek Train Depot suffers from break in and damage

You must be a low-life to try to rob all-volunteer Silver Creek Train Depot in Freeport but this is the world we live in now. All volunteer Silver Creek Train Depot in Freeport is an organization that tries to restore and preserve a piece of Freeport history.

Silver Creek officials have confirmed the break in. They say that these ‘people’ had broken into the train depot. They had damaged the property as they broke into the depot.

Silver Creek officials say “Some of our less than stellar citizens broke into our depot, at least one caboose, and a bunch of train of terror scene buildings, a bunch of stuff broken, things stolen – we’re not sure all what yet.”

The depot is a part of history and it contains precious memories of our time. The Silver Creek volunteers would like to get to the bottom of who had done this hideous act.

You can help in catching the intruders by giving information to the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office at 815-235-8290.
