Last Fling and Labor Day weekend will have parking lot closures

There is a requirement of the closure of some parking lots and streets at and near the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community and Park District Administration Building. The closure of the parking lots and streets will happen on these locations on the Jaycees’ Last Fling weekend. The weekend will start on August 28.

The parking lots of these two locations will close at 5:00 am on Wednesday and they will remain closed until Monday, September 2. Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community center is located at 305 W. Jackson Avenue and the Park District Administration Building is located at 320 W. Jackson Avenue. The City of Naperville has developed a traffic plan for the Last Fling.

The details of the traffic plan and closure of the streets are posted on the official website of the City of Naperville. People who are interested in knowing the details of the Jaycees’ Last Fling can get information from the official website of the event.

The details of the operational hours of Park District has been announced by the city. There are some special arrangements for the Labor Day holiday and the Last Fling event. Fort Hill Activity Center will remain open from August 30 to September 1 and it will carry the normal operation during these days. There will be no open gym classes from August 26 to September 2.

Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center will remain closed from August 28 to September 2. The Administration Building will close on August 30 at 3:00 pm and it will remain closed until September 2. The 95th Street Center will remain open from August 26 to August 30. It will close early on Friday, August 30 at 3:00 pm. It will stay closed from Saturday to Monday. Knoch Knolls Nature Center will remain closed on September 2. Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower and Visitor Center will remain closed on August 31 and September 1. Centennial Beach has also released the schedule of operation during the Labor Day and the Last Fling weekend.
