Art on theMART returns April 1, 2020

Art on the MART is known as the biggest projection of permanent art in the world. This art projection will return to illuminate the historic landmark, theMART, on April 1, 2020. It includes the season rotation of the content every night from April 1 through December 31. The Art Institute of Chicago, Arts of Life, and The Adler Planetarium are the collaborator of the program.

The Art Institute of Chicago transforms the masterpieces by Claude Monet. Monet and Chicago is a famous exhibition of the museum. Arts of Life is going to celebrate its 20th anniversary through the projection of artistic works created by developmentally disabled artists. The Adler Planetarium is going to celebrate its 90th anniversary.

The projection of Arts of Life and the Art Institute of Chicago will begin on April 1. The Adler Planetarium is going to launch the projections on May 16. The Adler Planetarium projections will align with the Chicago Riverwalk organized by the City of Chicago. Cynthia Noble, the executive director of the Art on theMART, said, “We are delighted to kick off the 2020 program season with such strong content partners.”

2020 is the third year of the partnership between the City of Chicago and theMART. Noble added, ‘We are already becoming an integral part of the cultural fabric of the City.” The schedule of the Art on theMART spring 2020 program has also been released. The Art Institute of Chicago projection will take place from April 1 through September 20. Gloria Groom, the chair of European painting of the Art Institute of Chicago, said, “Today, the museum holds the largest collection of works by the artists outside Paris.”

Arts of Life projection will take place from April 1 through May 12. Denise Fisher, the executive director of Arts of Life, said, “Art on theMART provides an ideal opportunity to highlight our commitment to supporting artistic expression.” The Adler Planetarium projection will open on May 16. Mark Subbarao, director of space visualization laboratory of the Adler Planetarium, said, “The collaboration between the Adler Planetarium and Art on theMART has been quite a natural one.”
