Chicago Fire move Crew match to SeatGeek Stadium
Chicago Fire FC announced Thursday that its Nov. 7 home match against the Columbus Crew will be relocated from Soldier Field to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois, because of scheduling conflicts tied to the Chicago Bears’ 2026 NFL season.
The Major League Soccer club confirmed that kickoff for the match will remain at 3 p.m. Central Time despite the venue change.
According to the organization, ticket sales for the game have been temporarily paused and are scheduled to resume on June 12 as the club adjusts seating arrangements for the smaller venue.
Fans who purchased tickets directly through Chicago Fire FC will receive comparable seating assignments at SeatGeek Stadium once the relocation process is completed. Existing tickets have been temporarily frozen while the club works to transfer seating locations from Soldier Field.
Supporters who bought tickets through Ticketmaster.com or third-party resale platforms will instead receive refunds from their original point of purchase and will have the opportunity to buy tickets again after sales reopen in June.
The club said additional details will be provided directly to Season Ticket Members and Premium Seating customers through their ticket representatives.
Chicago Fire officials explained that the move is connected to lease restrictions at Soldier Field, which prevent the club from hosting matches within five days of a Chicago Bears home game.
The organization also noted that additional schedule changes could occur once the NFL releases the Bears’ full preseason calendar.
Chicago Fire currently uses Soldier Field as its primary home venue while continuing long-term efforts to expand the club’s footprint within Major League Soccer and the broader Midwest soccer community.
The franchise, founded with branding inspired by the Great Chicago Fire, remains active in youth development and regional soccer initiatives alongside its professional MLS operations.
