Wanted Freeport fugitive arrested from a motel

Freeport Police has reported the arrest of a wanted fugitive at a motel in Joliet Illinois. The wanted fugitive was Jennifer Adams, 41. She was facing felony charges for allegedly helping in concealing a homicidal death occurred on June 5th in Freeport.

According to Freeport Police, they had received a Stateline Area Crime Stoppers, in morning hours of September 11th, 2019, about the whereabouts of Jennifer Adams. The Freeport Police Department detectives had forwarded this information to the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task.

Adams was arrested outside of a motel in Joliet Illinois at around 1:00 pm. Will County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force personnel were also there to help assist the Marshal’s Task Force. Adams will be extradited to the Stephenson County Jail as she is currently apprehended in the Will County Jail.

The Freeport Police Department have expressed appreciation for the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Region Fugitive Task Force and the Will County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force for their hard work and dedication in apprehending Adams. They have also recognized the efforts of Stateline Area Crime Stoppers.

They have said that “Organizations such as Stateline Area Crime Stoppers are an important asset to law enforcement in the on-going fight against crime, and this arrest serves as a great example of their effectiveness.” The Stateline Area Crime Stoppers are helping in making the community better by providing tipsters anonymous ways to provide information to the law enforcement authorities.
