Springfield Police: Firearms Arrest

Springfield, Illinois ±On the evening of June 19th and the morning hours of June 20th 2021, members of the Springfield Police Department conducted a detail to confront gun-related activity within the City of Springfield. During this detail Springfield Police Officers made eight (8) arrests, while recovering eight (8) firearms. The following subjects were arrested (booking photos may be released):

Jamal M. Karim, male 22 years-old of Springfield, was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm- no FOID.

Marquis D. Davenport, male 19 years-old of Springfield, was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm- no FOID.

Denzel A. Washington, male 19 years-old of Springfield, was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm ±no FOID.

Donavan D. Brooks, male 28 years-old was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm ±no FOID.

Jason H. Marshall, male 20 years-old of Springfield, was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of firearm ammunition, and possession of a firearm ±no FOID.

Howard L. Beasley, male 26 years-old of Peoria, was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and manufacture and delivery of cannabis.

Percy E. Cook, male 26 years-old of Peoria, was arrested for manufacture and delivery of cannabis.

Roman I. Hampton, male 24 years-old of Peoria, was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon along with manufacture and delivery of cannabis.
