Christmas gifts stolen from non-profit organization’s truck in Tennessee

A non-profit organization was going to present the gifts to the people in need on the occasion of Christmas in Tennessee. The gifts were kept in a truck for getting ready for the distribution. The offenders stole the gifts from the truck. Sherry Bilbrey, the director of Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet, seemed heartbroken after this loss.

Bilbrey said, “I have cried, and I have cried, and I have cried”. She said that this incident broke their hearts. They lost the majority of the gifts they kept in the trailer. The offenders left the trailer in a miserable condition. Bilbrey told the media that it was the saddest thing she ever faced.

Bilbrey told the media that the gifts were stored on the property of her friend in Wilson County. Thieves unlocked the trailer by ripping through a metal hand bar, she said. She said that they chose to store the gifts on the property of her friend because it was hard for her to pay the storage building. “We were going in loss and we could not afford them in a storage building anymore,” she told.

The office of Wilson County Sheriff is investigating the case. The office said that they would catch the thieves soon. It is really a heartbreaking incident. Bilbrey is now scrambling to get presents ahead of the Last Minute Toy Store on the 21st of December. She said that if they could get donation then they would have that store.

It is a season of gifts and several organizations have already distributed the gift boxes to the needy. Amazon and some local churches had donated the stolen items. If someone wants to help the Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet then he/she can contact calling the office of the non-profit organization at 615-641-0577. They can also drop off the gifts at the Mt. Joliet Police Department. It is a really hard time for the non-profit. The sheriff’s office has started the investigation of the incident. Bribery and her team were heartbroken.
