Coronavirus spreads across Illinois
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced 1,346 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). They have also reported 80 additional deaths across the state. According to the IDPH, a female teen has died in Cook County.
According to IDPH stats, as of April 15, 2020, 24,593 people have tested positive of COVID-19, of which 949 people have lost their lives. 116,929 people have been tested for COVID-19. These numbers have been from across 89 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years. Union County has also reported a case.
