Image of Black Hole released

There is a big discovery in the field of astronomy. Astronomers have released the first ever image of a black hole.

It is located at a distant galaxy and its size is enormous. The black hole is described as a monster and is three million times the size of the Earth.

It is 500 million trillion km away. The first image was photographed with the help of a network of eight telescopes distributed among the world.

The network of the eight linked telescopes is called Event Horizon Telescope (EHT).

It is found in a galaxy called M87.

The image is remarkable. It is like a ring of fire. The black hole has so much gravitational pull that even the light can’t escape it.

Dr. Ziri Younsi, of University College London, who was also part of the EHT collaboration says that the image matches the popular opinions of the people.

The image is just the start of the study of the mysterious objects. It will help to solve the questions relating to black hole and astronomy.

Prof Heino Falcke proposed the experiment and had the idea of the project in 1993 when he was a PHD.

He realized that a certain type of radio emission would be generated close to and all around the black hole which would be powerful enough to make the telescopes of the world detect them.

He also said that he read a scientific paper from 173 which suggested that black holes appear 2.5 times bigger than reality due to their enormous gravity.

The journey was not easy. He argued his case for 20-years. It took a funding of 40 million pound from various agencies to find this discovery.

He was not alone in this journey. It took about 200 scientists to align the networked telescopes towards the M87. They scanned the heart for about 10 days.

This team is trying to create an image of a supermassive black hole which is found at the center of our Milky Way Galaxy.

This will be hard than this discovery as this black hole is smaller and dimmer.
