Facebook Oversight Board Upholds Ban on Donald Trump

Facebook’s oversight board on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 decided to uphold the company’s indefinite suspension of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Facebook indefinitely blocked Trump’s access to his Facebook and Instagram accounts on January 7, 2021 over the company’s concerns of further violent unrest following the January 6, 2021 unrest at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.
