The Joliet Junior College Communications and Marketing Division was on fire at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 3 Conference as they bagged four Medallion Awards. The conference was between Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The college won gold medals in the flyer, outdoor media and wild card categories. They had won silver medal for excellence in writing. Kelly Rohder-Tonelli, executive director of communications and marketing said, “I am so proud of the creativity, skill, and innovation our team brings to the college each and every day.”

Rohder also said, “It’s very special to receive this recognition from peers in the industry and to know that our work is impactful.” Graphic Designer Demetra Pappas produced the gold winner flyer. The flyer promoted the JJC Fine Arts Ensemble Series. Graphic Designer Shawn McGuan’s outdoor media won first place in that category.

Marketing Content Specialist Sam Sottosanto won silver medal for Excellence in Writing award. The second-place winner covered Connections Magazine story on aerospace engineering student Joe Siwa.
