Naperville Park District Board Election Petition Packets Available
2021 Naperville Park District Board of Park Commissioners election’s petition will be ready for pickup. The interested park board candidates can collect the packets beginning Friday, September 18, 2020. The packets can be collected Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at the Park District Administration Building at 320 W. Jackson Ave. at the desk of Bridget Tuft, Executive Administrative Assistant/Local Election Official.
The election will be on April 6, 2021. Four positions will be up for elections. The newly elected commissioners will serve four-year terms. There are conditions for running for the board seats. The candidates must be at least 18 years of age and a Naperville Park District resident for at least one year before the election.
The board positions will expire in April 2021 as Bobby Carlsen, Bill Eagan, Mike King, and Mike Reilly’s terms will expire. Rich Janor, Josh McBroom, and Marie Todd were elected in 2019 to serve through 2023. The packets are made available by the Park District as a matter of convenience. However, the candidates are solely responsible for complying with all requirements of the law concerning their candidacy. The candidates are encouraged to consult their attorneys before circulating petitions and before filing for any office.
