Ivan Cease

Senior editor of the Chicago Morning Star

Ivan was born in the suburbs of Chicago. After graduating from college, he moved to San Francisco for studying. He worked as a journalist and wrote about Silicon Valley startups. There, Ivan met Jackson Sorbo, which led to him deciding to get back to Chicago to develop the joint project Chicago Morning Star. Ivan’s colleagues have no doubt that Ivan knows pretty much everything about technical innovations and the development of technologies both in the U.S. and globally. He is always ready to share his knowledge and the latest news of the software world with the readers. Ivan has long been interested in international politics. His great-grandmother hails from a small town in eastern Ukraine. In 1916, she and her family emigrated to the United States. However, the family keep honoring Ukrainian traditions and monitoring the events in the country. So, Ivan’s core activities in the Chicago Morning Star are tracking the political situation in Eastern Europe and life of the Ukrainian diaspora in Chicago. He is into heavy music and painting.
